アーカイブの展開

SquirrelMailを置くWebサーバーのWebページディレクトリでアーカイブを展開します。

# cd Webページディレクトリ
# tar xjvf ダウンロード先/squirrelmail-1.4.8.tar.bz2

# cd squirrelmail-1.4.8                                          日本語パッチを適用します
# patch -p0 < ダウンロード先/squirrelmail-1.4.8-ja-20060812-patch
# cd ..

# mkdir squirrelmail-locales                                     日本語環境をインストールします
# cd squirrelmail-locales
# tar xjvf ダウンロード先/ja_JP-1.4.8-20060903.tar.bz2
# ./install
Please enter path to your squirrelmail installation:../squirrelmail-1.4.8

Extra decoding functions are installed.
# cd ..
# rm -rf squirrelmail-locales

アップグレード

旧バージョンからのアップグレードが必要な場合、アーカイブの展開に続いて以下を実行します。
(旧バージョンのディレクトリ名をwebmailとします)

# cp -fv webmail/data/*            squirrelmail-1.4.8/data/      個人定義ファイルをコピーします
# cp -fv webmail/config/config.php squirrelmail-1.4.8/config/    設定ファイルをコピーします
# rm -rf webmail                                                 旧バージョンを削除します

dataディレクトリのパーミッションとオーナーを変更します。

# chmod 730 webmail/data
# chown -R apache.apache webmail/data                 Apacheの実行オーナーを設定します

設定

ディレクトリ環境を整えます。

# mv squirrelmail-1.4.8 webmail                       アクセスしやすいようにディレクトリ名を変更します
# chmod 730 webmail/data                              dataディレクトリのパーミッションを変更します
# chown -R apache.apache webmail/data                 Apacheの実行オーナーを設定します

設定プログラムを使用して動作設定を行います。

# cd webmail
# ./configure

起動

http://ウェブサーバーのアドレス/webmail/index.phpもしくは
https://ウェブサーバーのアドレス/webmail/index.phpでログイン画面が出ます。
